On behalf of the Director General of the National Office for the Fight Against Drugs and Addiction (ONLCDT), Dr. Tarek KOUR, Mr. Yacine BOUSSEHOUA, Deputy Director for Coordination and Follow-up, presided this Wednesday, June 3, 2026, over the official launch of the 3rd edition of the “Peer Youth” camp (Chab El-Qarine).
The event is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, in partnership with the National Office for the Fight Against Drugs and Addiction, and with the contribution of several key sectors and active bodies. The opening ceremony took place at the conference hall of the People’s Provincial Assembly (APW) of Annaba.
In his address on this occasion, Mr. Yacine BOUSSEHOUA emphasized that organizing the “Peer Youth” camp embodies one of the operational pillars for implementing the National Strategy for the Prevention of Drugs and Psychotropic Substances.
He stated that this is achieved by focusing on field-based prevention, enhancing the support framework for youth recovering from addiction, and backing their social and psychological reintegration to ensure the building of stable and secure life paths for this demographic.
