Commissioned by the Director General of the National Office for the Fight Against Drugs and Drug Addiction (ONLDCT), Dr. Tarek KOUR, Mr. BOUSSEHOUA Yacine, Deputy Director of Coordination and Follow-up at the Office, participated this Sunday, May 03rd 2026, in the organization of a regional drug and psychotropic substance destruction operation. The event took place in the Province of Chlef, in the presence of civil, judicial, and security authorities.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of the regional commission in charge of destroying drugs and psychotropic substances, chaired by the Attorney General of Chlef. The process was carried out under strict organizational conditions, resulting in the destruction and incineration of:
9,121.5 kg of treated cannabis (kif);
159.153 kg of hard drugs (cocaine and heroin);
10,582,389 psychotropic tablets.
These quantities were seized by units of the People’s National Army (ANP), the National Gendarmerie, the National Security (Police), and the Algerian Customs services.
